Deputy PM: 82 regions apply for 1 tln rbl of infrastructure loans
MOSCOW, Oct 4 (PRIME) -- The Russian regions have filed 1.1 trillion rubles of requests for infrastructure loans to the government, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said in a statement on Instagram on Monday.
“A total of 82 subjects submitted applications for 1.1 trillion rubles. This is more than two times more than the limit, which means that the program is very much in demand with the regions,” Khusnullin said.
A total of 485.4 billion rubles in loan applications were submitted under the regional limit, the other 623.7 billion rubles will be granted on a competitive basis, Khusnullin said.
As of September, decisions have already been made to provide 205.8 billion rubles as infrastructure budget loans for 31 regions, Khusnullin said.
The government is currently considering extending the program until 2026.
